As women, we long for fruitful and meaningful relationships with family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors but can easily feel depleted by the demands and to dos. At our weekend-long women’s retreat, February 1-3, the Rev. Elizabeth Michael Ross will lead us in a time of digging more deeply into the relationships in our lives.

Using material authored by the Rev. Sam Wells, we will explore four primary ways we relate to others:  doing for, doing with, being for, and being with.  Then together we will practice the most important and often overlooked way: simply to "be with," imitating the God who is always with us.  We will spend time together engaging and reflecting upon this topic in addition to a weekend full of fun, fellowship, food and relaxation “being with” one another.  Come join us for this wonderful weekend away!

Elizabeth Michael Ross couldn’t be happier to be returning home to the Carolinas for a weekend with us.  Elizabeth holds degrees from Presbyterian College and Princeton Theological Seminary. Currently she serves as the pastor of Community of Reconciliation in Pittsburgh, PA­.  Elizabeth is a long-time friend of our own pastor Christi Brown, who describes Elizabeth as smart, thoughtful, caring and a beautiful soul.
