I am the middle of 3 sons, born into a family that were active members of Sharon United Methodist Church for several generations. I heard the Word of God in my Mother’s womb as she and my extended family attended church together. I was baptized as an infant witnessed by my extended family and church family that followed through on their promise to see that I grew up learning of God’s love, his scripture, and of the salvation given with Grace through accepting Jesus as our Savior. My youth was spent in the loving environment of this church family, and as a teenager I accepted and acknowledged Jesus as my Savior, and became a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.

I believe that God is the Creator and Supreme Authority of the universe. Man was created in God’s image, and fell from God’s grace thru original sin. God’s grace was restored to us all through Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection. Jesus is our Savior, who came and brought a new covenant of salvation. He died on the cross, was resurrected and lives in Heaven. Our only salvation is thru acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. I believe in the Holy Trinity; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I still do not understand the fully the concept but accept it as part of my Faith. I believe the final authority for our faith is the Holy Bible, which is the Word of God.

I believe the Church is the Lord’s, and our purpose as a part of the church is to worship God with a joyful heart; educate the coming generation and the uninformed about God’s Word and his salvation; and to enjoy the blessing of the Sacraments of the Church, which are Baptism and the Holy Supper or Communion.
