Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Proverbs 3:5

Miss Laura Sartor, born in 1903, was a lifetime member of Westminster Saxon Presbyterian Church. She served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, PW member and in any other capacity where she was needed. She was a devoted Christian lady who loved her church and all who visited or were members.

I had the pleasure of meeting her in 1972 when I became affiliated with the church. In her I found a person who was quiet, humble, obedient, loving and very kind. To me she was the epitome of everything good! I never heard her speak an unkind word about anyone. She was the kind of person everyone would like to be when they grow up.

Miss Sartor’s hobby was to send cards to every member in the congregation on every occasion. Her chosen cards were the works of Helen Steiner Rice. A very spiritual person, she often quoted this scripture: Trust in the Lord with all your heart: do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6. Laura Sartor was an ordinary saint.

Prayer:
In your kingdom, O Lord, continue to bless your servant whose life was obedient in all things, especially to her callings, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
