Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir, composed of around 50 members, sings regularly at the church's 11:00 a.m. worship service and presents special programs during the course of the year. The choir, known for its strong musical standards and high-quality performances, is open to anyone who wishes to join. Musical and vocal training are provided to choir members who need or desire it. The Chancel Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. September through May.
The Chamber Singers
The Chamber Singers is a 25 voice choir designed for singers who enjoy intensive preparation of music suitable for smaller choral groups. The Chamber Singers perform on occasion at the 8:45 a.m. service and prepare special programs throughout the year. They are especially noted for their Christmas music, and their second Christmas CD, "All My Heart This Night Rejoices" will be available in the fall of 2009. They are regularly invited to perform at the Biltmore House, especially during the Christmas season. Membership is consultation with the director.
Genesis Choir
All interested singers are warmly invited to participate in our new Genesis
Choir, which sings at our 8:45 a.m. traditional service on the first and third Sunday of each month. The Genesis Choir rehearses at 8:00 a.m. on the Sundays they sing.Handbell Choir
The Adult Handbell Choir rehearses on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. and performs periodically in worship, retirement homes, and community events. Membership is open to adults and qualified youth as space permits. The ability to read music is helpful, but motivated beginners can and have enjoyed success as members of this group.
The Summer Choir and Christmas Eve Choir are open to all adults (and High School students) who enjoy singing but are unable to be regular members of the Chancel Choir. The Christmas Eve Choir rehearses prior to Christmas and performs at both of the church's popular Candlelight services on Christmas Eve. The Summer Choir meets on Sunday mornings at 10:15 from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Participants rehearse music for that Sunday only and sing at the 11:00 a.m. worship service.NEW!
