First Presbyterian-Spartanburg has served in the southwestern Dominican Republic for over 15 years. As a partner with Solid Rock Missions, First Presbyterian sends three mission teams annually to provide surgical, medical, and dental care to the poorest residents of San Juan de la Maguana and the surrounding countryside. Construction teams advance the physical plants of the Clinica Cristiana, the Center for Christian Education & Development school, and numerous satellite clinics. Vacation Bible School teams teach Dominican children in house churches throughout the city of San Juan.
Want to serve in the Dominican Republic? Our missions focus on medical, dental, and construction service. All adults and youth accompanied by adults are welcome. Surgeons, dentists, and medical professionals are needed, as well as team members ready to
serve but with no medical or construction skills. There is enough work for everyone!
Our mission to the Dominican Republic includes:
Solid Rock Missions in San Juan de la Maguana
Clinica Cristiana
Center for Christian Education & Development (CCED School)
Sponsorship of CCED School Children
Child Nutrition Program
Vacation Bible School in home churches
