Spring Adult StudiesAdult study groups at First Presbyterian offer a variety of opportunities for study, fellowship, and spiritual development. Some study groups are meeting during the summer months.

SUNDAY STUDY GROUPS

Financial Peace Financial Peace University

Financial Peace UniversityWant to learn how to manage your financial resources faithfully?
Financial Peace University is a 13-week life-changing program that teaches you to achieve your financial goals by eliminating debt, saving for the future, and giving like never before. Doug Campbell will once again be facilitating this important and relevant study.

.Dates: February 21 - May 23
.Where: Room 2212 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
.Course minimum: 10 family units
.Course fee: $98.00 per household

Invitation to the Old Testament Invitation to the Old Testament
Using the Disciple short-term study materials, this 9-week study incorporates daily
Bible reading, video presentations by biblical scholars, and small group discussion to
invite Christians into a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Old Testament.
As an in-depth survey, this course will be of benefit to those with beginning or intermediate knowledge of the Bible. Participants will be expected to read about 30 minutes of Bible readings each day in addition to participating in the weekly class sessions. Craig Foster will lead this study.

Great Themes of the Bible Great Themes of the Bible
Perhaps you have studied individual books of the Bible, but are you familiar with how central ideas of the Christian faith are developed in the Bible as a whole? This eye-opening study focuses on 13 Great Themes of the Bible. Join us to find out what the Bible says about the nature of God, the nature of human beings, spirit, law, salvation, grace, and more. Tom & Nan McDaniel will lead this 13-week study.

Breaking FreeBreaking Free is Beth Moore’s life message about freedom in Christ in this newly updated interactive study. Through Scripture you will discover the transforming power of Christian freedom. God intends for you to know and believe Him, glorify Him, experience His peace, and enjoy His presence.

Tuesday Noon for Women Tuesday Noon for Women
What's So Amazing About GraceGrace is at the very heart of the lifechanging and worldchanging gospel of Jesus Christ. And yet for many of us, grace seems remote, disembodied, and overly sentimental. In his book What’s So Amazing About Grace, award-winning author Philip Yancey uses biblical and contemporary stories to present grace as something that is less tame and more radical and world-changing than we typically think of it. Bring your Bible and a bag lunch, and join with other women of faith to delve more deeply into God’s amazing grace with study leaders Carter Smith and Beth Neidenbach.

Old Testament Prophets for TodayWords from the prophets of ancient Israel are a familiar part of the Advent and Christmas seasons. But how much do we really know about the prophets whose lives and writings make up more than a third of the content of the Old Testament? What do they say to us as 21st century Christians? Tom and Nan McDaniel will facilitate this study.
