Deacons lead the ministries of congregational care in the Presbyterian church. At First Presbyterian, care for both members of our church and those in our community is one of our highest priorities. Congregational care aims not only to help those in need, but also to provide opportunities for caring service to our members.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer shawls are knitted or crocheted by members of our church. Members meet together twice a month to pray and to create these beautiful shawls. The shawls are a physical reminder of God’s loving presence and of the church’s constant support to people who are in need of prayers. This is an amazing ministry of our church and a deep comfort to those who receive a prayer shawl. If you would like to become involved in creating these shawls, please contact Cheryl Regets, Administrative Assistant for Pastoral Care (208-2129 / cregets@fpcspartanburg.org)
